Topics group conversations by the work a user needs done, such as changing a reservation or correcting an invoice. A useful taxonomy separates the request from the outcome and sentiment.
Automated topic discovery is unavailable. Get agent conversation topics currently returns an empty placeholder page. The topic-discovery toggle in Analysis is local preview state, not a saved enablement control.
You can prepare a taxonomy through manual review of records you are allowed to access.
1

Choose a review sample

Use conversation list filters to select an agent and time interval. Record the sampling rule so another reviewer can repeat it.
2

Define topic boundaries

Give each proposed topic a short name, inclusion rule, and counterexample. Keep an explicit uncategorized bucket for requests the taxonomy does not cover.
3

Check reviewer agreement

Compare manual labels on the same sample. Revise overlapping definitions before expecting automated counts to guide product decisions.
Future topic reporting needs a working discovery process, traceable source conversations, and defined time-window behavior. The current empty response cannot establish that an agent has no recurring topics.
No. The current control does not persist or trigger a discovery job.
The contract describes ranking parameters, but the current handler does not calculate topic rankings.
