# Sentiment analysis

> Interpret existing sentiment aggregates while distinguishing them from planned sentiment generation.

Sentiment can help prioritize a conversation for human review. It should not replace checking what happened or deciding whether the user's request was resolved.

<Note>
  Automatic sentiment generation is planned. The Analysis sentiment toggle is local preview state. Existing valid sentiment data can contribute to the conversation-users API, but enabling the toggle does not create new scores.
</Note>

With conversation read access, request [conversation users](/api-reference/agents-platform/list-conversation-users) for a defined agent and time window.

| Response field | Interpretation |
| - | - |
| `sentiment.scored_conversation_count` | Records contributing usable sentiment results |
| `positive_count`, `neutral_count`, `negative_count` | Counts within that scored population |
| `average_sentiment_score` | Average of stored sentiment scores, or null without scores |
| `average_frustration_score` | Average of stored frustration scores, or null without scores |
| `most_frustrated_conversations` | References ordered using existing frustration results |

Check coverage before comparing users. Ten conversations with one scored record do not support the same interpretation as ten scored conversations.

Open the referenced [conversation record](/agents-platform/monitor/conversations) and review the transcript. Record the concrete issue in [triage](/agents-platform/monitor/triage) when action is needed. Do not infer a diagnosis, verified personal trait, or future behavior from a sentiment label.

Future scoring needs a released producer, documented score meaning, and a way to review missing or disputed results.
